The Role

Fanatics is seeking a detail-oriented and creative storyteller to join its Global Communications Team as an Internal Communications Manager. This role is ideal for a highly organized communicator who can successfully juggle multiple projects simultaneously while thriving in a rigorous, fast-paced environment.

This position will provide communications support across several critical areas, including employee communications, change management, and internal events. The ideal candidate is an experienced communications professional with exceptional writing skills and the ability to tailor messaging based on topic, audience, and channel.

This individual will partner across Fanatics’ businesses and functional leaders to develop and execute strategic messaging and communications programs that inform, engage, and inspire employees globally. Success in this role requires strong project management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling communications.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop internal communications plans that support key business functions, including HR, IT, and Facilities Management.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate key initiatives into clear, engaging communications that inform and connect employees while driving them to take action.
  • Own and manage Fanatics’ global employee intranet platform, Starting Lineup, including editorial planning, content creation, and ongoing optimization to drive engagement.
  • Assist with in-office communications by leading content strategy and creation for Fanatics’ digital screens.
  • Support internal events and employee engagement moments through communications planning and content development.
  • Contribute to external communications channels, including LinkedIn and Fanatics’ corporate website, as needed.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of corporate or internal communications experience, preferably within complex global organizations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences and channels.
  • Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and actionable communications.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and navigate organizational complexity across teams and stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves and contribute across a variety of projects.
  • Creative thinker and problem solver who brings fresh ideas and practical solutions to communications and employee engagement challenges.

 

Achieving our goals requires strong collaboration and partnership between our teams and our internal stakeholders. To best support this, the person who accepts this role is expected to be on site, in office four days per week. To provide our employees with flexibility, we offer a unique benefit where employees at Fanatics' corporate entity can work remotely for up to four weeks per year, which can be taken in daily or weekly increments. 

 

The salary range represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
